Resolution

The Concerned Citizens Coalition (CCC) is asking the Town of Sewall’s Point to Adopt this Resolution Recognizing and Supporting the CCC.

 We Ask for the Town's Support of CCC's Mission Statement and Immediate Goals - Listed below.

1- Immediate Cessation of Funding and Grant Requests for Improvements at Witham Airport until the FAA 150,  FAA 161 and the Metropolitan Planning Organization Planning Studies (MPO) Are Competed.  Exclusions Would Be Funds used for Airport Safety, Maintenance and Emergency Repairs.

2- Immediate Implementation of Mandatory Noise Abatement Procedures.  Noise Abatement Procedures Are Currently in Effect and are Published by the BCC as Voluntary - They Have Not Worked. Exclusions Would Be "Verifiable" Operational Safety Limitations Determined by the Pilot in Command of Any Aircraft.

3- Immediate Implementation of a Curfew at Witham.  The Curfew Would Extend from the Hours of 10 pm to 8 am - 7 Days a Week.  Exclusions Would Include Medivac, Emergencies, and Governmental Flight Operations.

A Copy of this Resolution Shall Be Forwarded to the Martin County Board of County Commissioners and to the Witham Airport Director, Mr. Michael Moon.
